Photographer’s Note

Koh Phi Phi Don is one of the most beautiful and exotic islands off the Thai coast. It was also the scene of the destructive Tsunami waves in December 2004 which virtually destroyed half of the tourist village on the island (the village is located in the part of the island joining the two hilly areas, visible in the photo). However, it is still one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. This view can be admired from the view point on one of the peaks to which leads a little demanding, especially in full sun, path. The photo is originally panoramic, but, unfortunately, I had to cut it and show only the middle part. Hope you like it anyway :)

hej:-)widok jest piekny, szkoda ze nie mozemy go tutaj ogladac w wiekszym formacie bo na pewno by jeszcze zyskal. punkt widzenia jest super, ladnie to wyglada z bujną roslinnoscia na dole, troche jasno po prawej ale slonca nie da się przycienmnisc na moment fotografowania:-)

Unfortunately I most say that this is the most weird looking and bad picture I have seen of Pee Pee Island!
The picture has been compressed so that the island is totally out of proportions!
The lighting is way too dark and it's not clear at all!
You can see different colours with sharp edges in the sky!
Only good thing is that it shows the damage done by the Tsunami.

Hi Lukasz - great panoramic view, the first one I've seen from here since the tsunami, I really like the different colours of the sea on either side of the isthmus.

Hi Lukasz, Very nice composition of this famous beach off Thailand. Very good perspective and POV. The colours came out very well. Murray.
