Photographer’s Note
One more shot from this place: le Palais Royal and 'les colonnes de Buren'.
I wish I could take this with slower speed to emphasize her movement and a little bit of her face, but ...
Hope you like it. Thanks for your comments.
Al.

yes!
love everything in this picture: the contrast between the sober building and the playful child, between the perfect alignement of the classic arhitecture and the street-stones and the free mouvement of the child (like the girl doesn't take too serious any rule)
somehow she sais that every rule is made to be defited:)
it's the freedom of the innocence... and yes, the title is very good:)

Bravo

I agree with your musings..a slower shutter speed would have made a great motion blur for sure..but since it was handheld then it probably wouldnt have really worked out well.
The graphism created by those lines (verticals and diagonals) is great and its a very nice b/w. But speaking of the graphism, the strong angles are also seen in her arms and also create a sense of graphism. Overall its a well shot decisive moment that follows in the tradition of HCB.

Hello Al,
Superbe

Child on the run. Absolutely free and quite innocent. Great idea and superb composition.

Hello Al,
This is my very favourite of them all. Fantastic capture, a poem, really... filled with a sense of carefree play. Astonishing tonal range.
Bravo!

Hi Al.
This one is great. Simply great. The moment, the focus, also what is not focused, the black and white, the composition,... great.
And about the movement of the kid I like too. Why? Because then the photo has a very nice kind of feeling (sorry for my english). Is like the time would be stopped while the kid is playing. A nice memory of the childhood for everyone of us.
Thanks for share.
note: even I like the man (or woman) at the end of the photo

Bonjour Al,

All your gallery is splendid, full of shots with force and movement.
The light controlled always well but it is especially the composition which is powerful in your images: a style Alsom Bravo
For this one there all was said by the other admirors ;-)
PS : I beg your pardon for my english !

A nice moment - you caught her movement well and did well to isolate her enough from the background too - such a good image of childhood that goes so brilliantly with your title.
Great shot Al!
best wishes Kev

Great timing Al, both feet in the air, and your title expresses the freedom of childhood wonderfully. Not a care in the world as she flys.
Nice tones and well composed.

Very nice image, Al.
All the magic of childness is captured here, a bit of nostalgy is felt thanks to B&W.
I would have cropped a bit on the fight in order to remove the person, I think it would have been better with only the child

alain,
I think this is very beautiful this way,if your wish come true then it is another compo and I am not sure better or not,one must see.so pretty with this tonal range, the repetition of the colonnes well decorates the compo.
