Photographer’s Note
One way of appreciating the size of the dunes surrounding Huacachina is to climb one of them to the top. Another, is looking from that same big dune and to see such a sight: at the lower left corner you can see two Buggies parking with couple of people waiting beside them. I am not that good in evaluating sizes here, but it looks like that dune is around 100-150 meter high?
PP: Desaturation, cropped, USM, Neat Image, contrast +15 and played a bit with Curves.
A word about the cropping here: I thought about cropping a bit more of the right side and focusing the look at the main dune and buggies, BUT, the overall texture appealed me even more so I kept it at the end. hope you like it

hi chen, i never realized one can find this type of desert view out there in peru, it looks more like a sahara region; excellent scale fix with those wehicles; congratulations on this capture and much appreciated selection of b&w version;
best wishes, jerzy

Framed at the extreme, so small those human beings in the corner to this vast dunes, well seen and captured Chen.

Hi Chen - the crop would also have been interesting but the out of this world scenery is better seen in its entirety, the dunes look immense compared with the buggies, the scenery looks out of this planet, great work.

Hi Chen. great shot of these dunes, and good choice of b&w, it makes the picture original. I also like the presence of the buggies which gives us the scaleof the dunes. Congratulation, Pascal.

I think you did a great job to show the immensity of the desert. Quite a catch from above. I think the black and white works well but I typically like the sandy beige and blue contrast on a desert picture.
