Photographer’s Note
Jour II

Reminds me of my trips to the Libyan, Moroccan and Tunisian deserts. Same feeling and experience.
Nice picture and good, warm colouring.

Impressive shot Stephane,
I love these desert shots. The colour of the sand is superb, and all this dunes...I like your comparison with the drunkenness.
Wonderful shot as a note.

HI Stephane
Absolutely wonderful view. I like the simplicity of the curves and colours which really give us an idea of the remoteness ofthe place.

Hi Stephane,
A well composed shot of this impressive desert setting. This low angle POV is most effective. I also like the play of light and shadow on the dunes. The quietude emanating from the scene is overwhelming. Great work, Stephane.

Wow! Photo impressionnante!

It's amazing to think that these desert landscapes change all the time. There is real sharpness and clarity here and the strong light/shade contrasts make an almost graphic image. Well done

Hi Stéphane, An impressive shot of the color, the curve and the contrast of the different sides of the sand dunes. It looks like a huge piece of silk to me. A beautiful scene. A well taken shot.

Hi Stephen,
These desert shots of yours showed that no matter how harsh it can be there is always a softer side as seen in those beautiful graceful lines. A well seen and composed shot. I love the tones and the variety in textures that include in this compo. Great shot!! Glad to see your works. Regards.

Hello Stephane, this is another wonderful picture of the desert. The dune is spectacular with its wave-like shape and golden colour. It complements the blue sky well. I would have been tempted to boost contrast a little to bring out the colours more and add some extra punch to the image - but this is purely personal taste.

It's so beautiful and simply sculpted Stephane. Even the lines of clouds in the sky follow simple and streaky lines creating a smoothed and wind blown feel. Looking at it like this it's easy to see the lines of the dunes dancing as the winds shift them to and fro. And I understand the idea of becoming intoxicated here. It would be easy to lose senses in this places where you can't even tell the scale of things. Although the light and color is nice you might be able to bring about a stronger contrast in the image just to give it a little more power. But that's just a minor quibble. Well done Stephane.

hello Stéphane,
it is equally hard to describe the feeling in a critique: the lines of the dunes are so elegant; the colors rich and the texture smooth. Your image is a lovely composition of lines and colors. The grasses add extra texture and shadows. Well seen. TFS

I missed this dune shot of yours before, Stephane - it's quite different from the others in both colour and form. This looks almost like something carved by man. It makes a very graphic and striking minialist composition. Cheers . . . David

I'm breathing in watching your image, Stephane!
The immensity of the desert caught me and it's unique charme... I think I have to go again...
