Photographer’s Note
These two high buildings at La Defense in the morningsun, look like a Pepper&Salt-fittings or couple.(I don't know the right English word for it....)
I like the two symmetric diagonal shapes in this straight world of offices, flats, blocks and architecture.
Ths picture is taken from the Grande Arche at la Defense.

Interesting coparison on this modern buildings with a "Pepper&Salt-fittings" Albrecht. Good idea to show only their top parts.

Hello Albrecht !
I didn't quite understand the title when I first saw the thumbnail of your photo. After looking at the big size picture I quickly realized what you had in mind at the time. Well, in English they call it "pepper and salt shakers set" which it is exactly what yr shot resembles !
The buildings are so beautiful and modern; all those windows reflecting the light really add to the compo of a nice shot.
Best wishes,
Celso

bonsoir Albrecht,

Prima werk!
Groetjes,

Hi Albrecht,
your composition and idea work well for me.
Numerous tiny little windos on each of the buildings make them look almost transparent against the bluish-grey sky, which I find a good visual effect.
Have a great Tuesday,

hello albrecht. Nice perspective of the top of the buildings. I like the contrast between both towers. One is more iluminated than the other. And you got the change to see the front and the back view. THe DOF is also very good. Well done, gabriel.

Hi Albrecht,
A well composed shot with great symmetry, as recognized in your note. I like the lighting here and reflections and shadows on the buildings. Your careful framing and cropping ensures high impact and artistic presentation. Well captured.

Hi Albrecht,
Nice to have another pov from Paris, I meant less tourist ones ;o). This one is just well seen, the pair building could indeed be compared to the salt & pepper. TFS, Al (back soon)

Here in my town we have twin towers, white boxes, that some of us call Salt and Pepper Shakers. Others, like me, call them the Washer and Dryer. These are very clean cut buildings in their lines and in the use of the glass. With the light reflecting off the left one we get a nice contrast to the other. Perhaps overall though it needs more contrast and a tad more sharpness. And perhaps some adjusting to get the lines perfectly vertical. The geometry might stand out more strongly this way. The background inclusion of the distant horizon is nice in adding to the sense of height and the feel of staring out of an office window at neighboring buildings and beyond.

Amicalement,
Stéphanie.

Good shot Albrecht.
A good title, could also have been called 'Dead Pig' I love the composition.
They are amazing buildings, they look exactly like pigs feet. See what you think of my La Defense pictures.
Have a good day.

Hi Albrecht,
I suppose we'd call them 'salt & pepper pots' but no matter how they are referred to it's a fine capture of these modern and magnificent buildings and good contrast with the light shining on only one of them. I like it, a great shot.
Regards
Stephen
