Frederiksborg Slotskirke

Here's the next picture of Frederiksborg Slot in Hillerød, Frederikborgs Amt, this time inside, it shows you Slotskirken (the Chapel).
The castle itself can be seen in my first two picture: Frederikborgs Slot I and II.

Slotskirken was completed in 1617 and almost the whole Chapel survided the 1859-fire, so the original ornamentation is preserved. It is located in the west-wing of the castle. The Chapel is richly decorated with motives from the classical mythology as well as the bible. At the southern end stands the Compenius Organ from 1610.
In 1693 King Christian V converted the church into a Knight's Chapel for the two Danish orders: Elefantordenen (Order of the Elephant) and Dannebrogordenen (Order of the Dannebrog).
Every Thursday from 13.30h till 14.00h the church's organist plays for the castle's guest.

Somptueux décors bien colorés, une église grandiose qui a traversé les siècles.
Un style que l'on ne voit pas beaucoup par chez nous.
L'exposition est bien gérée, il y avait un risque de surexposition avec ce soleil.

Hey Lars. I was admiring this at work today and it still looks just as amazing at home. What I like so much are the rich colors. The small hint of a person on the far right does add some very useful scale. That must have been amazing to stand there and see that firsthand. Super catch Lars!

Rien ne peut me faire plus plaisir que de voir l'intérieur d'une église, particulièrement lorsque la photographie est réussie.

Hoi Lars,
Na een week afwezigheid ben ik terug.
Niettegenstaande de moeilijke met lichtstand, heeft u er een mooie foto van gemaakt, het zijn van de moeilijkste foto om te maken, door de verschillende licht invallen, en de keuze uit welke hoek men de foto zal nemen, is ook niet altijd vrij te kiezen, maar ik houd zeker van dergelijke interieurs foto's. Het is tenanderen een zeer mooie kerk.
Prettig weekend gewenst!

This looks to be a beautiful place. You have captured lots of the fine details in very little light. I love the way we can trace the path of the sunlight along the pillars to the arch at the end.

Mooi dat je even naar binnen bent gegaan.
Bij het zien van deze mooie foto hoor ik nog de heerlijke klanken van Bach op het Compenius orgel, terwijl we langzaam rond deze mooie zaal lopen.

A sweeping view of the interior of this wonderful building. I like the sense of depth achieved here. The lighting and exposure level are just right, and the warm glow of brown and golden colour is very enhancing. The clearly seen details of the architecture and artwork are much appreciated. Could remember last time you have been in a church :-)) so i choose this one :-))
Well done we would say here "prise à hauteur" for the horizontal hold of the camera being from this first floor POV.
So you have a great captation of the full volume and interesting persectives from down the position and up.

Ik heb precies dezelfde foto, maar dan helemaal onscherp:( Deze is heel goed. Zou ik misschien het orgineel mogen hebben? Gewoon voor mezelfd, omdat die van mij is mislukt.

Deze is wel zeer bijzonder, fantastisch punt waar uit je de compositie hebt gemaakt. Prachtig licht, goede kleure. wel, wat kan ik nog meer zeggen dan. Erg goed werk.

Gérer la lumière dans ces lieux n'est pas chose aisée mais tu t'en ai bien tiré. Peut-pêtre un petit manque de netteté dans les premiers plan mais c'est affaire de goût.

Lars, cette photo a dû te poser des problèmes de luminosité mais je vois que tu t'en es très bien tiré. C'est une architecture baroque, je pense. Les couleurs sont superbes. La perspective aboutit à un orgue de belle facture.

Nice view of the inside of this church, with an interesting point of view on the nave below. Sharpness is vey good in these mixed light conditions. This is clearly illustrated by the organ in th background.
