Hi,
A shot from Vientiane and the Mekong River. This fisher was alone on the river with many tranquility just near the noisy vientiane. He fishing just with a hook not with bamboo cane.

Bonjour Sebastien. Très belle image avec cette composition simple mais harmonieuse. J'aime le contraste du rouge profond de sa veste avec le scénario presque monochrome. Un beau reflet sur ces eaux paisibles, et un moment privilégié de communion entre l'homme et la nature.

This is just beautiful and I wonder how you did id.....it looks like time just stopped!

The red colour of the man is a very good contrast and the small simpel boat looks really good. Good reflection in the water.

Woaw, mais c'est magnifique! c'est incroyable la couleur de ses fringues, du thumbnail, j'ai cru que c'était un moine : il pêchait en pyjama ou quoi?
Comme le dit Mark, peut être une expression un peu plus détendue aurait mieux été avec le calme de la scène... mais sinon c'est vraiment superbe.

Wow Sebastien, C'est vraiment très beau, la solitude à merveille! Excellente composition et un beau moment de concentration de ce pêcheur, il s'est complètement inconscient du monde autour de lui; même avec cette vaste plan vide autour de lui, on se demande SI il y encore un monde autour de lui. J'adore la couleur de la petite barque (pas très stable!). Vraiment magnifique, bravo! Sabine

Photographie qui va à l'essentiel et qui accroche immédiatement le regard. Très beau travail. Peut être aurais-tu pu décaler un peu le personnage vers la droite et accentuer un peu pour obtenir une meilleure netteté sur le pêcheur mais, telle qu'elle est, cette photo me séduit

Ca fait un peu blanc et la composition est tres epuree, mais alors quel contraste, c'est lui qui dechire tout et fait la photo, ce gars la il ne pouvait pas trouver meilleure couleur pour s'habiller.
C'est tres reussi, bravo et bonnes vacances

I can se why this photo was so successful. Simplicity and intimacy couple together like this to produce a striking visual image. Well framed in an off center way, our eyes go straight to the boat and the man having nothing else to pollute your frame. I love it.

Tu ne croyais pas que cette photo nous plairait à ce point? Et pourtant, c'est un bijou! Ce pêcheur tout de rouge vêtu et son reflet, cette eau blanche avec à peine une légère onde, et cette légère trace d'une rive qu'on ne voit pas font une photo tout simplement magnifique. Seb, c'est le genre de photo que j'aime.
Ce pêcheur semble flotter hors du temps et de l'espace. Tout est bon dans ce cliché y compris le bout de ciel bleu qui borderait le nuage où le sujet est suspendu. C'est du très beau travail !

Minimalism at it's best! What a beautiful and tranquile (almost dreamy) photo. Excellent effort. Compo is excellent although placing the concentrating fisher even more to the right would have been interesting as would a tad more sharpness of the face. But that is really nitpicking over what is a splendid photo. Nice reflections.

You hope we like ???? We just love it !!! It is perfectly framed. Each piece of the picture help to focus the attention on that hook :
- the mist around,
- the man appearing from nowhere and placed on a strong node of the picture,
- his concentration on that hook.

I also love the nice soft reflection due to the mist. Great picture !!!
