Photographer’s Note
I think this image shows the effect of the layers that go to make up this stunning piece of landscape better than the previous image I posted. However, although it shows a greater expanse, it still comes nowhere close to giving a true impression of the canyon’s size. This pic was taken with the zoom set on the widest angle possible but, even at this setting, capturing a wide enough expanse of this scene to convey some sense of the scale of place is impossible.
As with the previous image, smoke haze in the atmosphere was a problem. I’ve made every effort to correct it using Photoshop but with only limited success. I’ve tried my best to try and capture some of the original colour in the foreground without making the more distant features and the sky look too artificial. You be the judge.
I’ve adjusted the curves, lightness, contrast, and saturation before downsizing and sharpening the image.
Kind regards,
Tony

Hello Tony, This is a very impressive place and you've chosen a nice POV. I've attempted a workshop to get rid of a bit more of the haze.

Hi Tony! What a stunning scenery! Great crop and point of view. Actually it looks quite nice to crop away the sky entirely. A little of your right-hand peak would disappear but the peak in the upper left corner would be left untouched. I just use the browser to crop, it looks good! Best regards and thanks! Chris

Hi tony,
This is nice shot.
very wide & nice location too.
Only I would be happy to see more contrast in image. Since light made sort of thin blue layer of reflection.
Curve adjustment may slove the purpose.
Workshop by moxon is effective but I am disagree with his cropping of sky.
What sky you have framed would be perfect.
very well done.
Regards, Shailendra
