Photographer’s Note
This pic shows two of our firefighters at work with foam, using this exercise to help improve their skills. The foam is added to the water at the pump in a concentrated, liquid form. When it is sprayed from the hose, it takes on its foamy texture to appear as you see it here. It’s ideal for smothering flames and any combustible material and makes very efficient use of the available water, which is very useful if water happens to be in short supply.
This pic has been cropped, the contrast was altered slightly, and it was sharpened.
Kind regards,
Tony

Hi Tony,
I think your point-of-view was very good in this shot. We can see the flames so clearly in front of us and the fact that we are just behind the firemen, provides a feel of documentaristic realism and cinematographic excitement.
Great work. Congratulations and a happy new year!

Another great shot from your series, I'm really surprised this one hasn't received any more points/critiques.
The perspective here is perfect, and I love the way the fire looks against the pure white foam.
