200th and making a new trip Photo

Photographer’s Note

First, happy New Year.

Time ago I posted a photo called “100th and the beginning of a new trip”.

Now, first day of the year and “200th and making a new trip”

For my 200th post someone could think that I would repeat with Quintanilla del Coco. Really someone said to me that, please, I wouldn’t do it.

As you can see I haven’t repeated. But if I haven’t done it, is not because Miguel said to me: the reason is that in this kind of photos I want give me to myself a little present.
And if the last time the present was the best place that I’ve known, Quintanilla del Coco, this time the present is a picture of a trip and a country that were and are very important for me.

Greece.

A lot of memories, a lot of stories... nice and sad memories...
Believe me, behind this shot there are much more than a sunrise. Really I don’t know if someone can see more than a sunrise. But when I see this one I can see much more than a sunrise.
Light, fantasy, dreams, and others things that I cannot explain with words... that’s what I see.
Let me give me to myself this little present in my 200th photo.

note:
Let me say that the camara that I used here was not my camara. I used the camara of a friend (a Canon Ixus).
And also let me add that in the next days I am not going to post more photos. I think that I need rest a little: a lot of time here and a lot of time in my work (the next week I will finish). I wanted since more of one month ago post my 200th post just today and finally I’ve done it. Once time I’ve done it, I will rest a few days, but I will continue visiting TE.

Feliz año nuevo Carlos. Bonita foto para iniciar el descanso y el año. Técnicamente está un poco sobreexpuesta, pero no creo que eso sea lo más importante aquí. Disfruta de la vida y ríe todo lo más que puedas. Saludos mil y no nos abandones mucho, al menos ven de visita.

Nice photo - good composition and lighting. I like the mood in this photo of waking up day. It seems to be a bit noisy in some parts of the image, but it doesn't really matter.

Hi Carlos. Congrats on #200. It has no shortage of visual impact! That's quite a moment of light. The sky looks slightly overexposed but it doesn’t really matter. Excellent shot and Happy New Year Carlos!

Carlos, this is an interesting and detailed harbour shot. The sky is a little overexposed but this was probably necessary to bring out the foreground detail as well as you have (the reflection of the sun is perfectly exposed). Congratulations on your 200th posting.

Feliz Año Nuevo y felicidades por tu foto 200. Yo me he atascado en la foto 94 creo por una horrorosa falta de tiempo motivada por los preparativos del cambio de domicilio. Ahora, en mi nueva casa no tengo ni linea telefónica por lo que estaré un tiempo todavía sin poner fotos.
No puedo criticar mucho sobre las foto, salvo la sobreexposición que otros han dicho. Aparte de ello, incluir la barca en primer plano esta muy bien y también me gustan los mástiles del fondo.

Light makes interesting forms on water.
Strong sunshine leaves a rather large white patch on the sky. I wonder if lower exposure would have been better. But sometimes the brightness difference is just too big.
Certainly it brings a sense of enlightment here.
Is it possible on the beginning of a trip?

I like the inclusion of the foreground boat in the composition and the effect of the reflected light on the water is amazing.

Beatiful lighting on these marine scene. The light reflections on the water are marvellous and the boat in first plan gives a pleasant dephness to the image.

Una muy buena forma de empezar el año.

Hola Carlos,
difícil foto, contra el sol, sin aun estar escondido tras las nubes, por eso (y la cámara) quizas se ve la zona central del cielo demasiado quemada, por eso quizas se veria mejor el conjunto cortando un poco la parte superior, dejando el sol a dos dedos del marco superior. Siempre se agradece ver el sol en estos momentos. Gracias!
Veo que es una foto de despedida temporal, espero que te vaya todo muy bien, y nos visites de vez en cuando, aunque no pongo mucho material ultimamente!
