[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This is an unusual view of the blochouse as it can only be taken in winter.I had to jump from one ice chunk to the other, with my camera and tripod, to reach this place.A little bit risky as the ice was slippery and crooked, and the open space between the chunks consisted of thin ice.But I made it safely.
For an historical note,see here
I only staightened, cloned out a couple of dust speck, use level then resize and USM.

Happy new year to all of you.

it's worth the effort to take the picture, Charles
I like the composition and the depth of this picture
very well done

Bonsoir Charles
Amicalement
Bertrand

Hi Charles,
A crisp, clear view of the blockhouse. I like the POV and the dusting of snow on the structure. A very interesting foreground, with the rocks, ice and layers of snow. I love historical sites and have been active in heritage preservation most of my life. In travelling Canada, I make a point of visiting these great sites and parks and it appears as if you live very close to this great spot. All the best to you in 2006, Charles.
John

Hi Charles. Another very good alternate POV. I see that you are using the polarizer but I'd recommend setting it for more intensity in this sort of situation. Good shot Charles.

Happy New Year, Charles. The block house has serve you well as a delightful photo subject in a couple of takes, and this one turned out very nice with the seasonal coating of snow and ice. The vertical format and the layered way in which the elements are arranged makes for an almost 3D perspective impression that I like.

Hi Charles,
It's your first 2006 year post and first of all my sincereally votes of a happy and better new year to you and your family. The third post in your blochouse serie. I like this perspective and low angle approach view with these stones at foreground and a effect of 3D. Nicely captured in this vertical format. Good light, soft tones and fine sharpness.

Well seen, done and composed. Congratulations and have a Happy New Year
Fernando

Hi Charles,
interesting note and nice picture. You have captured the frozen stream(or river? i dont know..body of water) well, the blochouse makes the picture seem a bit tilted though. I like the different colors. Thanks for sharing.
Regards,
Rahul

Bonjour Charles,
