Photographer’s Note

This was taken in Meknes, a northern city of Morocco.

Meknes was then founded in the 8th century as a Kasbah or fort. In the 10th century, a town grew around the fortress with the settlement of a Berber tribe called Maknassa. Meknes saw its golden age following the accession to the throne of Sultan of Morocco Moulay Ismail when the town became the imperial capital.

In post processing I gave this image a blue hue to match the woman's clothing. This was 'another' lucky shot where I managed to get an empty space in an other busy main square.

Yo Arif!

Nice POV with vanishing point in the distance. It let's our eye's follow the women onwards the other corner of the frame. I like the blue filter you have used, it is sublte enough not to distract too much from the rest of the photo. Perhaps you could post the original as a WS also?

Hi Arif,
I like this one also. Another good way to frame your pictures! The post processing you did create a strange feeling for me. Like if that 2005 woman was walking in a place from a very different era! :) Very good sharpness in this one. Thanks!
