Photographer’s Note

This was taken in Meknes, a northern city of Morocco.

Meknes was then founded in the 8th century as a Kasbah or fort. In the 10th century, a town grew around the fortress with the settlement of a Berber tribe called Maknassa. Meknes saw its golden age following the accession to the throne of Sultan of Morocco Moulay Ismail when the town became the imperial capital.

In post processing I gave this image a blue hue to match the woman's clothing. This was 'another' lucky shot where I managed to get an empty space in an other busy main square.
