Photographer’s Note

Here is another look at these beautiful Hills. In this image I have tried to capture the white line created by the ash and mineral decay of the hills with the line of the three tumbleweeds. These hills are soft and velvety appearing in the evening light. They are a stupendous study of line, color, shade and shadows.

Hi Steven - wow, ideal mix of strong graphics and explosive colours, the painting-like image quality is a bit strange, it enhances the surreal landscape of the hills but the bushes look really oversharpened.

Amazing colors. The picture looks almost unreal. Great composition with teh color lines and the lines created by the mountains. The only thing I would do to improve it is to include a black frame. Regards, Yvonne

absolutely owesome picture Steven! The is only one thing You should pay a closer attention to. It is in "post production"...the sharpness on this photograph is slightly overdone. If You look closer to strong edges, You would see strong contrasty lines ( amost black and almost white) That got tendency to "posterize" the picture. Still - what a great shot!

I have seen other pictures of this place, and it looks amazing.
Mother Nature at best. Your picture is an abstract paint.
The bush is a perfect contrast for what concerns colors, and it helps to give the size of the place.
