just as Norwegian tourist industry does I'd continue to capitalize on the beauty of Lofoten's landscapes. If the previous one had quite a dramatic look (http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Norway/photo306391.htm), this one is more calm and idyllic. Place to be at… place to dissolve in… For those excited visitors :o) While for the locals is coping with the severe climate and making their living in this unpredictable environment.

I like this photo vry much - there is a cleanness about it that appeals to me.

I like the details such as the stilts on the houses...are they houses or commercial buildings?

I love how the red stands out so clearly.

This is a very impressive picture, very well captured. Love the way we see this typical Norwegian small houses with sharp colours. Beautiful small town with these amazing rock mountains in the back.

I like how the typical Norwegian houses lead your eyes up to the dramatic scenery. The Lofoten Islands are so incredibly breathtaking and your photos helps share that.

Hi Olga,
Great and technically almost ideal shot: nice colours, contrast and sharpness, good composition. Just one thing for me is the sky a bit ashy, it'd be good to use polirizer on those conditions. One question is interesting for me: what the camera and lenses were?

on the thumbnail, I thought it was Halong bay !
great point of view, I like the contrast between the rocks and the red of the houses, good lighting , contrast and colors.

Man and nature in harmony. Beautiful scene - I love the contrast between the houses and the mountains and the sea. Somewhere I've always wanted to visit - perhaps ypu have given me the incentive. Great photo.

This is beautiful country and you have recorded it well, the contrast of the houses precariously perched on the edge of a cliff, the forbidding cliffs behind is very dramatic. And the light blue sky is typical. I've hiked near here and know you have seen very precisely and well.

My husband's ancestors came from around here, they found Minnesota and North Dakota more hospitable as the weather was as cold, but the land was a lot flatter.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (best)I would give this a 10.

Very nice photo, Olga. Colours from the shadows to the bright sunny areas are perfect. The sea huts seem to jump right out at you and lead you further into the scene. Looks like a wonderful place to visit and photograph.
