Photographer’s Note
On the oposite edge of Douro river you can see one of the many abandoned train stations we can find in this travelogue along Douro lands...in this one you can clearly realize the kind of landscapes you have if you had the oportunity to do a travel in Douro´s railways since this trail always go near the river edges, as i explained you in my previous photos.
The 2 houses near the river are from an abandoned station...the other you see in the landscape are an example of farms which still explore the Porto wine in this region...as you can see Douro edges are full of this kind of landscape with typical vineyards on it, to make the famous Porto wines.
In the past Douros railway was very useful, together with "rabelos" boats, in order to transport the wine to the caves situated in the bigger cities along the river edges.

Nice informative note along with a nice composition. The colors of both the actual and reflection are pretty similar.
How about selecting the actual scene and saturating it a bit to make it even more similar :)
Nice scene though.

A fine shot Marco, great reflection, maybe a little bit underexposed (after my liking).
Your notes from the region is very interesting - learnign a lot here!

An excellent reflection shot, Marco. A pretty scenery with those white houses adding interest at just about the right places in the frame. The reflection is very clear, and you appropriately chose to post a fully symmetrical view with the horizon in the middle. Well done, and a great note.

You really managed to get thw whole mountain in to that reflection. Great job. i am sure i would have cut of some important part of the composition if i took this type of photo. I'm not sure if it is my screen or not but the sky has some strange colours (yellow, turqois and purple). I like how the small houses adds intrest to the compo. I "climb" the hill when going from one house to the other.

Ah! I understand why you liked my Norwegian reflected scenery... Your Portugese reflection is at least as beautiful! ;o) You almost could turn it the other way, we shouldn't see it at first sight.
Great observation Marco!
