Inn = Kro in Danish.

Nowadays will a journey through Denmark by car take you less then 8 hours – But for 200 years ago would the same journey have taken two days or more with a horse drawn diligence

Hence there was a need for places where travellers could rest and eat. Many Inn’s was founded from 1700 to 1900 and most of them got the special privilege from the King – this also true for the Inn in the village Vester Skerninge at the southern of Fyn
.
This a special place, because not only the Inn preserved in the same condition as it was build for over 250 years ago – there’s also a group of similar houses around it, which gives a pretty good idea how people lived at that time.

The inside of the Inn and its kitchen newly been rebuild in the old style and it’s surely a place to visit, for a good meal.
