Photographer’s Note
I was visiting the Marble Temple also called Benjamapopithr, in Bangkok. This was my third visit to this beautiful monument, and I was aware that monks were living in a compound right next to the temple. So after taking a few shots in the temple I went again to this favorite place, and found monks sitting or chatting together. At one moment I directed my camera towards their hands which stood nicely among this symphony of bright orange tones.

Very original idea to isolate the hands against the orange robes. The result is an almost abstract image. But someone who has been on TE as long as me, immediately associates with buddist monks. Good job on exposure and DOFas well.

LOvely monochromatic orange here, even the hands being a similar tone. Good crop and framing for it.

A lovely close up shot Izzet - so expressive - 'as ymphony of bright orange tones' is a perfect way of describing what we see! Excellent!

I've been developing a phobia of orange monk-photographs on TE in recent months, but I must admit I like this one very much for the clasped hands.
Also, it gives me an idea for something to post...

Hi izzet.
Fantastic closeup, amasing digital sharpness, comparable to the classic film camera. Colours, vibrant as usual, still so much detail visible in the uniform orange clothing. Different shades of the same colour bring up really good definition which leads us to those calm hands. I've never seen such a clear digital shot and I am not exaterating. I have nothing more to add.

Presque abstrait, vraiment fantastique.
Du tres beau travail.

Why is it that the poise of the hands say so much about the person. Captured here beautifully amongst the orange robes.

A beautiful and delicate study, Izzet. The orange tones in the clothing establish a soothing mood, and I like how just showing the hands stimulates the viewer's imagination, e.g. the guy at the left seems to be the older one. I'm not sure the orange frame is the very best choice (as there is already so much orange in the photo), perhaps a simple black or white border would be a little better but it's just my personal taste.

Hello Izzet.

Merhaba my friend Izzet,
Superb original composition, focusing to the detail of the hands of the monks, a very important meaning and one of the most expressive parts of our body. I love the orange atmosphere. Congratulations for another excellent and impressive work!

Hi,
This is a really beautiful shot. The idea here is great -- I agree that a monk's hands seem to define a lot about them. The focus is brilliant, DoF good and simple colours also contribute.
Thanks, Lewis.

Salam Izzet

Sevgiler
Belma
