Sea turtles coming onshore to lay eggs are killed by fishing hooks and motors on boats. They lay entangled in plastic line or bloodied on the beaches in Puri, waiting for death, and the crows to feast. The fishermen are done for the day, the death of fish is their way of life. They have no interest in the death of the turtles. Life goes on. The crows and the ocean reclaim the turtles. On a beach far away, it is estimated that millons of turtles make it safely to shore, to leave the next generations behind them.

I clicked on this expecting another pretty sunset shot! Instead I found a fantastic image that spares us nothing in documenting the link of people, the ocean, turtles and crows. Nice title too.

Whereas the sunset looks divine, the reality of a dead turtle leaves one sad at the plight of these sea creatures.
A poignant moment well captured.

Initially I thought that this photo is just normal postcard: properly composed, with nice colors etc... after your note I did relized sandess of expression... what you ment... Indeed, there is no excuse for brutal aspect of existence of nature....
Any way, life goes on - as you said....
