Photographer’s Note

This is Krakenes lighthouse on the island of Vagsoy in Norway (the light is at the other end!).
It is still a fully functioning lighthouse but now there is a cafe inside and also it is possible to stay overnight. It is reputed to be particularly dramatic in storms - an exciting time to stay the night! - but the day I took this it was a gorgeous sunny day.

Nice shot. The white on blues is very intense. I also like the line of the horizion being the same as the line between the two parts of the building. It's a very lonely looking place at the end of the world. Perhaps it would have been more dynamic to have taken it a little more from the left to get the building out of the center and still have a totally sun washed area. Still, it's a beautiful shot.
