Photographer’s Note
This is a fragment of the Amber Fort, in old Jaipur. It's construction began in the year 1592 under Man Singh I. This fort is really a combination of various styles of architecture. The outside is very imposing and rough (as a fort should be) and inside the walls you can find lots of influences of both Hindu and Muslim style of ornamentation. Here a part of it. The fort gets its name from the stones that are used (not only in the fort but in the whole town) and that are endemic to the area.

Hi Hendrik. A nice architectural detail, with a good showing of the repeating patterns provided by the elegant pillars and arches. Not least do they make a fine window out on the background. Not the most trivial one to do in terms of exposure handling but it came out pretty good.

Hi Hendrik,
I've been here and I really like the POV you have used, the usual thing is to photograph these arches sort of head-on. Colours are perfect and good detail. Thanks for the memories!

Nice! The repetition of these delicate arcs and the soft background with trees (looks like wallpaper to me!) really make this picture something special. Well seen and good exposure.

Hi Hendrik
A very nice composed shot that depicting the fort. The color are pretty refreshing after all the years and cool. The lighting are nicely captured against the subjects.
But it lack the activity. Probably this will make the image much interesting.
Cheers and well done, hendrik.

Great framing! You have a great eye to be able to spot this detail of the building, with the repeated theme of the columns and arches. The view through the arches is good too, and you did a nice job making sure that the details in the brighter areas were not lost. Great work!

Hi Hendrik,
I like the way you captured the repetition of the arches by doing it from this off-center POV. Very bice colors and good exposure.

Beste Hendrik,

Salut Hendrik,
Bonne journee,
Jean-Yves

Your POV was well chosen to show in their full beauty these magnificent arches. Good light management too, as the scene is enhanced by the colours of the bushes seen outside.

Hi Hendrik,
A well composed shot with superb blends of colour. The symmetry of the two sets of arches is quite captivating. The clarity of detail is also superb, as one can appreciate every fine detail. I like how you managed to control the light here. Very fine work, Hendrik. This is a keeper.

Bonsoir hendrik,
