Photographer’s Note
This whale skeleton is at Fishing Museum (Museu da Pesca). No, it wasn't fished, and it's a crime to kill whales, dolphins and any cetaceans in all brazilian coast. In fact, there's a quite interesting story about these bones.
This whale just appeared floating in our coast in 1942, already dead. But, at that time, fishers that saw it at some distance called the local authorities, as they thought it was a nazi's submarine. Fancy that! After "discovering" that it was just a dead whale, some scientists went there in order to recover the most they could for research purposes, but its body was in bad conditions, partially eaten by other sea animals, so that only the bones were useful. And here they are.

Very sharp. How do you get such a sharp picture with a F2.1? Great shot. Simply love the symmetry of this shot.

Nice shot of the bones here. From the way you positioned yourself you get a sense of the size of the interior of a large whale. I can see why people afraid of seeing U-Boats would think this is one at a distance. Do you happen to know what kind of whale these are the remains?
