Photographer’s Note

For this photo, I was trying to capture the beautiful saris of women coming out of the Taj. With a slow shutter, I kept the fluidity of the movement in the garment.

It took 20,000 workmen twenty years to complete the complex. Lifting heavy marble slabs to the height of 80 metres required a 4 kilometres ramp, a device similar to that used to build the Egyptian Pyramids.
