Photographer’s Note
Seen here are German officers on the deck of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a German frigate that was docked in Norway during our recent visit.
We were fortunate enough to be able to explore the ship briefly as the crew of this and other international ships invited visitors on board.
This picture was taken on our last night in the Norwegian capital. The ship was gone the next morning.

Simple, elegant, lovely composition, Jamie. Great choice for a silhouette, and nicely framed. The blending of sun and cloud and colors is breathtaking. The perspective is just right. Thanks for sharing this special moment with us.

A very proffesional looking shot. Love the strong silhouettes and the story that we can take from the image.

Simply stunning! Colors are wonderful (did you post-process it at all?). The shadows are great, very well positionned in the frame. We are like witnesses of an long day ending. Plus, the marines world brings a lot to the imagination (long journeys around the world, not seeing anybody else than the crew for months, getting stronger as the miles pass by under the boat line....). It's more than just a lovely sunset pic', it has a story behind the scene. Congrats' ;o)
