Another shot of the fishingboat in the Northsea.
I prefer this one because it is outcentered (which makes a better picture indeed, like some of you made clear yesterday)and the more detailed view on the ship. I also like the turquoise colour of the sea and the visibility of the seagulls around the ship.

Good framing, with wonderful color, & excellent sharpness. I like the graphism of the dark ship against the lighter bg.

- As for the previous photo, I say: splendid and amazing colours, the images of the sunbeam on the waves are very well returned, light and POV are very good also, but I prefer because the closer boat, adds to the interest of subject, well done!

Dit zijn van die moeilijke foto's waar het tegenlicht werkelijk de foto dermate beïnvloed, dat er veel wit in de golven komt die daar niet thuis hoort, maar daartegen over maakt het de foto wel uniek, het zwarte silhouet van de visserboot maakt dan alles weer een stuk beter, ja de meeuwen zijn waar eten te vinden is!

Hi Gerrit, IMO instead of another shot of the boat, we have two different shots. I believe the first one is a shot of a whole scene, in which the boat is one of the elements. This one could be defined as a shot of the boat, it's really the main element here and very powerful! So it's good you post the two versions. Regards, Daniel

I like the close up of the silhouetted boat. The light on the waves is an attractive element of the photo. The lilac colours are unusual and make a "sandwich" of the rest of the composition.

Hi Gerrit,
I completely agree with you about this closer approach beeing better than your previous post, for the reasons you pointed out well. The dramatic light reflections on the water surface are quite attractive and the bigger sillouette creates a bigger impact. Very well done!

Hi Gerrit - the colour of the sea is certainly eye catching, and the shimmer of the sea is as alluring as the previous version, the water looks a tad oversaturated, and if that comment is coming from me, it probably is true.
