Photographer’s Note
A Monk in the local village temple shaves his head in preperation for the Thai New Year / Temple / Village celebrations, the next day.
This day I was using a waterproof housing, as I kept having water thrown over me too.

This is a wonderful, spontainous picture of 'wan gorn'. On the full moon day of every month all monks must assemble at the 'bot' to listen to the 'Patti Mook' being chanted. This is the rules of the monkhood. The day before they must shave their heads and eybrows in preparation. Some do it themselves others form mutual shaving groups. Song Kran like all Buddhist festivals, falls on the full moon day. Great picture!
