Photographer’s Note

The 110th running of the Boston Marathon. I went down with family to support my wife who was running that day.
21,000 runners from around the world qualified for the race. Spectators lined the streets to lend their support and the crowds were thick for the entire length of the 26.2 mile course. Fortunately, I wound up right next to a college house party where the kegs of beer were flowing all day.
These 3 girls had a competition going to see who could
give away the most orange slices. Most of the runners preferred a cold beer.
I was hoping that the hands and oranges would turn out sharper - but the slight blur is probably more representative of what i was seeing through my lens after a few beers anyways.

cool pic.
haha...a guy was offering a shot glass of guiness at the marathon i was running a few years ago.
i like this pic...yes, the hand in the pink sweater is a bit blurred...but i like the focus on the middle arm...and the blurred images in the background..nice and colorful...you framed this well.

Nice focus on the foreground part of your composition. I love the moment you succeeded in taking there. The background is also very interesting. Without a background expliciting the situation, I truly think the picture would been of no interest.

nothin wrong with a little handout warsy. the phenomenal detail of the oranges juxtapositioned against the backs of those sweaty runners makes me ache for a nice cold glass of florida's best (with extra pulp for my pleasure). excellent composition warr. you have a great eye for a spectator guy.

I love this shot buddy. Nice choice of framing and the colors are really pleasing. Em will be running a half marathon next month and you've given me inspiration to get down there with my camera.
