Photographer’s Note

The town of Buaya (also a Filipino word for crocodile) in the province of Leyte is a very quiet fishing village with a few basic accomodation type of resorts. It is unspoiled and green. Having finished a grilled fish for dinner in a local restaurant with a view of Leyte Gulf, I was prepared with my camera to take a few sunset photos. I was in the same spot yesterday, but sunset was not particularly colorful and, so my pics were dull. On this day, the sunset was again muted in colors. I am glad I took this quiet subdued picture, my consolation. Patience is not always rewarded. Hope you like it, and thanks for viewing.

P.S. I did not see a crocodile during my visit to this charming town.

Clear and beatiful picture. This subdued blue tones are very pleasant to eye. Simple but nice composition with dark silhouttes. But i don't like your frame here.

Maybe a different ending of the day compared to what you hoped for, but nonetheless interesting! Very moody... Pleasant composition and great colours, I love the silky soft surface of the waters here...
You know there used to be crocodiles in Camotes Islands too, in the neighbourhood! For some reason they disappeared too...

Great photography! Good composition and light.
Nice contrasts. I prefer a little more blue instead of green. Nevertheless excellent picture.

Sunset spectacular or not, this is a very atmospheric and tranquil photo. The water and the reflection are beautiful and the silhouetted image of the man, possibly fishing, is perfect for your title. I think you could have added a little more blue and maybe just a touch of red to the colour cast. Nevertheless, this shows how less is often more. Well done.
