In the Northen provinces of Iran : Gilan and Mazandaran ,lying by the Caspian coast the main cultivation is Rice.
Especially when you travel to Gilan you encounter countless vast rice fields streching from the sea coast to the high mountains of Alborz.The scenery is magnificent ,we call the rice fields ,SHALIZAR.

Hi Mohammad. Absolutely something special. It seems as if the upper part of the photo is in B&W, while the land is in colour. A strange, but beautiful landscape. Regards, Klaudio

I was just about to write the same B&W/colour comment as Klaudio!
I have never seen a horizon as flat as this one, or such a dramatic contrast between earth and sky.
