Photographer’s Note

This will be my last picture on TE for the next 2 weeks.
I finally go on vacations to Palma de Mallorca and hope to come back with more nice pictures ;-)
This one is an image of a leaf from a plat which I don’t know the name…sorry!
The image was taken in Lisbon’s greenhouse.
The greenhouse is located on the heart of the city, more precisely in Edward VII Park.
It is a real green museum where plants and flowers from the five continents grow harmoniously together under a huge planked roof that beautifully regulates the air temperature and the intensity of light. It was built in 1930 and allows visitors to rest their spirit and purify their senses in front of an enchanted scenery of lakes, fountains and statues.
The area is divided in three different zones: the original greenhouse, the hot greenhouse and the sweet greenhouse. Within the first (also the coolest) you'll find an extraordinary vegetation that benefits from the construction (iron and strips of wood); the hot greenhouse, covered with glass, displays species that need a hotter atmosphere to survive; and the sweet greenhouse is the territory of several species of cactus.

Hi Teresa,
What a fantastic image to sign off for 2 weeks. I am sure it will keep us engrossed for the time being. Looks quite similar to a banana leaf but maybe i am wrong. A very graphical image indeed. Great details. The diagonal red vein really catches the eye.

Bonita diagonal en este encuadre. La luz que tiene la hoja no sabemos si está delante o detrás de ella, a mí me parece que detrás, y crea un bonito efecto luminoso por transparencia.
Perfectos detalles y colores.
Es una magnífica composición gráfica lineal.
Un saludo, disfruta tus vacaciones, y espero ver las fotos que hagas a tu vuelta. Seguro que serán muy buenas.

Hi Teresa,

A gorgeous shot!! There is such vividness about the colour. And such fine detail. Its as if the viewer is looking down a microscope at the cellulose cell walls :)

Olá Teresa,
As críticas devem ser tanto as positivas como as negativas, não é?
Não gosto desta foto, não me diz nem me inspira nada de especial. Além disso é demasiado abstracta para o objectivo de TE. Ficaria um pouco melhor dentro do espírito do TrekLens.
Mas como uma andorinha não faz a primavera, ficamos à espera das tuas próximas fotos, certamente melhores (conforme é hábito).

Teresa, on PP there is a tool call Healing brush, it has a little dropdown, choose the lasso one. It works like the stamp tool, but it helps clearing smudges like the one you have here.

Posted a WS with a sampled healed/patched area, so you can compare against the stamp tool area. Hope is helpful.

Hi Teresa, I like the graphical impact, and the diagonal line, as well as the light esp. on the left side. Something went wrong on the right side, I see some stains or a strange blur there. Overall - well seen and captured, Daniel

Olá Teresa,
Como em muitos outros trabalhos abstractos teus, gosto bastante do resultado aqui. Bastante original, como é habitual e um tanto provocador, dentro do espírito do TE, estimula a minha veia artística. A nota é excelente, mas mais uma vez, acho que deverias colocar imagens 'normais' em WS, para justificar e dar mais força a esta. Dito isto, parabéns pelo trabalho, apesar da preguiça no pp em limpares a imagem, o que de resto é compreensível para mim.

Hello Teresa,
a very simple shot but great graphico elements in it.
really well expressed in its colours and composition. A well cut across the diagonal is very impressive,and the veins are very pleasant in colours, tones and pestel rendition.
Brilliant thought and excellent clarity.
