Straight, minimalistic shot. Why I like it? Because the reflection of the tree on the water breaks vey naturally the horizontal lines of the river, the mountains and the horozon. In addition, the gradient in the sky from the thin yellow aura to the deep blue, is just breathtaking. Well seen and capture,

Beautiful sky colours, and a lovely layered effect to the composition. The tree to the left of centre creates foreground interest.

Nice title, David! It fits the great morning colors. Everything is always perfectly arranged in your photos, in this case the dead tree in particular. There's a great mix of tones, from dark blue to yellow to ochre. That tree has a lot of different moods, and you've taken fine advantage of all of them. Regards, Ken.

Hi David,
You surely know how to capture special atmospheres, even in colour version. This is a beautiful water colour painting in soft tones, under this lovely sunrise lighting. The place seems to be marvellous and you show that from the several shots taken in diferent times. Excellent note along with the complementar images that I have loved. The 'boating' is a magnificent artistic one. Congratulations for these impressionist captures!

Hi David. Nice to see your old buddy, the tree, in this one again, it is very well used to anchor this beautiful and poetic composition. The soft light and the subtle colors are very nicely portrayed, and somehow the cloud pattern in the sky helps to enforce the "reading" of the scene from left to right. Pleasant how the reflections gently amplify this mood.

I liked the mood here David. Something about late afternoon with its golden sheen, has a melancholy feel to it. Add to that a wide open space and a single subject as a starting for for the visual exploration, you have one heavy feeling and it doesn't has to be depressing. A feeling of desolation too.

What a beautiful title! Poetic & so is the picture. The reflection of the tree breaks the dominant horizontals in the picture & love the sky which changes from pale yellow to deep blue with the streaky clouds almost as pointers. Superb!
