ok ... this may not be to everyone's liking, but i'm gonna say that i absolutely love this shot.

on saturday i went out shooting and that's when i captured those two golden buddha shots i have already submitted.

on the way through a park there were heaps of kids playing in the massive water fountain. the temperature is climbing fast and everyone's looking for relief.

this boy was standing in the middle of the fountain, letting water soak him through. he became my beautiful subject and i got quite a few shots of him that i like.

this one is rather extreme, but i think shows good detail and interesting water.

i hope you like it as much as i do. it's a sign that summer is definitely here and we will all be looking for ways to escape the heat!

Looks really cool.

I think it's just dandy, David, works for me, asbolutely. Like the way it goes from very precise on te left to almost abstract on the right.
Lovely capture, man!
Cheers,
Francis

Yeah I definitely like this shot David, some nice big drops of water you have caught here, and I like the way his blue shirt fades out. Great stuff.

This picture is very different and dynamic, I love it! The composition of the boy to one side and the colour of the shirt work very well.

Great job seeing this scene and capturing it.

Very interesting photo! Good idea!

Hi Dave,
It's a very good shot. You choosed the right to catch the water. I think the blue t.shirt is perfect to reinforce the feeling of freshness.

Very nice details on the waterdrops and the expression of the boy!. Good composition. Did your camera get wet ?... I hope not!

I think this is excellent David, really good. Most importantly, your shutter speed was just right in allowing some blur but sharp enough capture of the water drops so that we know what they are. Your exposure is very good; perhaps a touch underexposed but you have avoided irritating blowouts so it works well. I am not certain the boy is in focus exactly, but it really doesn't matter too much here. Nice shot.

Hi David,
A very good composition with a half side for that boy. Very expressive too. Be inspired... Great shot . Den

Hi David,
Absolutely stunning picture
The water, the crop, the placement of the boy at the left of frame .... absolutely top!

Hi David.
POWERFUL and IMPRESSIVE
No word for this special and excellent compostion.
I like this framing, this atmosphere, these colors tones, this water, the position of the boy...really beautiful.
A very very nice shot....in my favorites
Dolin

Very intimic capture, David! It looks as if you got into the fountain with your D50, getting all wet...
:D
Well, that's the advantage of a 450 mm equivalent lens...Good action stop with the high shutter speed, stopping the big drops of water and enhancing the wet situation of the kid in the midst of all...Very good take!
Thanks for deciding to post it anyway - a good chioce!

Fantastic image. The degrading colours from left to right are absolutely wonderful. Definitely one among the best photographs I've seen lately here in TE. Congratulations.

Hi David, Maybe not everyone's liking, but certainly mine! You captured an amazing span of water from right to left, up to the drop perfection. The blue color of the the boy's T-shirt enhances the zest of coolness. Great split compo. Well done, --amz

Its a good one David. This is a fantastic summer shot. I was out today and it was scorching hot. Did I mention I had the day off?:) Anyway, on my day off from work, in the heat, I just wanted to jump in the water and cool off. This shot has that great summer feel to it, well done.

Very cool shot. I'ts very dynamic, and the blue shirt just fades out to the right behind the water. Great.

ooohhh, fantastic picture !
The close compo is excellent, my imagination is working.
Excellent pastel tones.
No doubt, it's a fav...
Well done

Indeed I like this one a lot, you just give enough to spot everything out between the drops of the water fontyn, an excellent shot David, congratulations for this one.

Great shot David,
Love the intenstiy of this. I think the extreme crop works really well here. Great shot
Cheers
Peter

the best part of this shot is the contrast between the lines of water running down off the boys face and the drops of water in front of them in the foreground.. as i mentioned to you before, i think there is too much on the right.. half that side water could be cut and you'd still have a great shot.. but that's just me

Hi Dave, I was browsing your gallery (very interesting indeed) and found this one, cool... Maybe a faster shutter speed would have rendered the water even better... The contrast between the blue shirt and the water is excellent... Very nice crop as well... This one can easily land into my favorites...

Hello David,
