Photographer’s Note

Sometimes weather changes happen rather quickly in my part of the world!

Like here, a day starting with blue skies and nice sunshine…

Suddenly the threatening dark clouds started to pile up, drifting in from the North Atlantic!

Where I stand shooting this there still is sunshine, but that will change in only a few minutes.

Next the summer rain is pouring down…

Very dramatic sky with ominous design.
I find the colors enhanced by this situation,with a good dynamism(run and hide this camera,but not before clicking).
Good composition that gives a good place to the sky,and a nice touch of color with the red house in the corner,

There certainly are a lot of red roofs in your part of the world, Pablo.
This one is full of drama and light, and you have positioned the house in just the right place in the frame. The field in front with its very sparse covering of grass, adds interest and contrast to this beautifully composed/cropped photo.

The sky makes this a winner. I'm very impressed with the tones the D50 gives to such skies. The sky creates great depth. The hill and the house from such a distance add to this effect. I really like this compo. Well done.

you don't have to have a blue sky because you have some incredible clouds here. great composition where the sky and teh cloud dominates teh frame. good color and the bend at the bottom of the hill adds to the composition very well.

I know exactly what you meen! Just out of nowhere the clouds adds up and take herritage of the sky - leaving the sun out. Just take a look at my Winter-photo and the note:)

This is a very powerful image with the barn standing out good against the green fields and the dark and scary sky! Very good motioneffect in the clouds!

Hello Pablo,

In bandying points with you, it is no moral obligation, but a labor of love. It is akin to visiting a fine gallery, and spending time studying one piece after another. This country scene from last summer highlights the "big sky." You've place the building, trees and hills near the bottom of the frame, allowing a great deal of space for the clouds. The deep red/cardinal color of the building serves as a counterpoint to the grays and blue-grays of the threatening sky.

The red paint of the houses always bring a nice touch of color in these pictures of rural Norway, nicely combined here with the green of the hill. This moderates a lot the gloomy atmosphere brought by this very dark sky.
