Photographer's Note

The Yorkshire Dales are one of my favorite parts of England, though I've only been there once, in 1993. The contrast of lush green pastures with stone fences and houses, and the bucolic rural atmosphere, are perfect there. Here I am showing the lush green pastures without the green, to emphasize the wide-open-space feel of the place, and the aloneness one can experience despite the fact it is not a "wild" area.
