Short before 1:1.
This was the second game I had the chance to see during this world cup – still 2 to see (lucky me) : Australia – Croatia.
This is so far the most exiting game I’ve seen. Fastest goal in the world cup (1 minute) and the first time a referee gives 3 yellow cards to a player before sending him off!!!
Australia qualified for the “last 16” game for the very first time and we stayed in the stadium long after the end of the game and after 20 minutes the Australian players came back on the pitch and greeted all the fans that were still in (at least half of the stadium! – that would be over 25000 people).
Australia really deserved to go far in the competition. After what happened Monday evening it’s even truer.
Coming back to the picture, I know it is not well focused but I really like the face of the player on the screen before shooting the penalty. I was seated at the opposite curve and with my small digital camera it was not that easy to do better. |
