Photographer’s Note
With this shot, I open a little series about Myanmar. It has been one of the my favourite travels, in very good and lovely company, back in 2001. I need to scan all the photos, and I hope the outcome to be similar to originals.
The best remember I have was given for the Myanmar people, always smiling to us, exquisites on their behaviour. I hope the people photos I want to post are so goods as the people I've found. I’d like too the beauty of the nature, so different to the european, and so exuberant and plentiful.
This shot is taken from U bein bridge, over the Taungthaman Lake. Is was the monsoon time, and I guess the lake had risen. I was touched seeing the dried trees, but besieged by the water.
******************

Wonderful atmosphere.Just a tip, avoid horizon at the middle.Use any ratio 1:2 or 2:1.

When people study photography they learn a lot of standard rules like "don't put the horizon in the middle" and "don't put the subject directly in the center". these rules work 90% of the time and are an easy thing to say in a critique. in this picture you used your eye and intuition and came up with a beautiful picture. you don't need to follow rules. I like the horizon in the middle and muddy color of the water.

Very nice and original shot. It is simple, beautiful and the main color takes part in the success.

Hi Angel,
very nice picture and colours ! you had a good idea when including this tree.
But I think there's a problem because all is centered : you should have put the horizon at 1/3 ratio from the bottom and the tree in the right corner in the bottom. And try to sharpen it more and it will perfect ;)
Bye,

Hi Angel!
What an interesting/quite dramatic atmosphere! I like it very much! The special colours, the desolate image of the tree(s), the good depth of the comp. are the "ingredients" of your successful comp. Not to forget the clouds!
Very well done! Congratulations!

Me gusta.
