Photographer’s Note

Today another image from my home city (Seixal).
This small lake is part of a beautiful garden placed in front of Seixal Bay.
At the weekends many people go to this place to relax and made some sports activity like jogging, gymnastic, ride a bike (because there are many paths) or simple walk.
These stones are part of a passage through the lake.
Usually the kids like this passage because they like to jump from one stone to the other.
As you can see the sky reflection on the water is dark because it was the beginning of day at about 6:40a.m.

Hi Teresa - beautifully composed, I like the simplicity of the shot. It's sharp & the reflected clouds give a nice effect on the water.

Lovely image. It is an abstraction for me and looks like hanging high in the air. Or maybe I should fall asleep now... Nevertheless I like it.

As already mentioned, the simplicity of this image is just beautiful. I like how the reflected clouds give the space around the stepping stones a soft, "aerial" texture.

Nice framing with this, to isolate on 2 of the squares and show us a lot of detail and texture in those. I like the mist rising off the water, adding an ephemeral and ever-changing feel to it. Great work!

I like this one a lot... I would dare to judge it as one of your best postings. With this one you are showing off your skills composing the image by eliminating distractions, to the point of just leaving the pure geometry of the objects. Excellent capture!!

Maybe it's because it's late and I'm coming back from a party, but this picture reminds me of one of my pictures. The diagonal of this composition is pretty interesting. I like the contrast between the sharpness of the stones and the myst covering the lake.

6:40 a.m.?!? Fim de semana? De vez em quando dá-te para isto, não é? Vieste para aqui meditar e saiu-te mais uma imagem abstracta, geométrica e minimalista, utilizando os reflexos da água. Um pouco ZEN, não fosse as formas puras do quadrado. Se fossem pedras...
De facto está um pouco escura, mas eu gosto de resultado abstracto e da atmosfera matinal.

Una foto tomada muy temprano, las 6:40 AM, supongo que te irías a trabajar, no?
Éste es otro de tus buenos trabajos algo abstractos que considero que compones a la perfección. La sencillez de la imagen le da su belleza, sólo unas piedras y el agua del lago, con bellos reflejos del cielo y las nubes, y alguna transparencia del fondo.
No necesita más, aquí funciona muy bien el buen ojo del fotógrafo, que ve la foto, y la toma.
Espléndida imagen.

Vá lá!! Este devaneio foi mais pequeno que os habituais :) não deixando por isso de resultar numa bela imagem, muito gráfica e minimalista. gosto dos detales sobre os quadrados de pedra e dos reflexos do céu e nuvens na água.

Simpatica foto y buen angulo. El reflejo del agua es ciertamente lo mas interesante en esta composición así como los bloques. Hay una pequeña neblina matinal aparentemente.

Simple yet effective.
The nist rising off the water gives a great dimension to the photo.
Well taken to capture the dark reflection of the dawning sky to give the stepping stones the appearance of floating in the air.
It is amazing as the reflection of the stones appear to be the bottom half of the stones (two tone stones).

Nice shot with an almost abstract nature to it. The reflection of the sky has a nice misty quality and contrasts well with the stepping stones. Nice, simple, impact and well framed.

Esta foto está realmente hipnotizante.. só apos ler a tua nota consegui perceber realmente o que era. Numa primeira ideia esses blocos parecem estar suspensos no nada.
O enquadramento está muito bom e a textura dos blocos trás um pouco de dramatismo à foto. As nuvens reflectidas no lago ainda agora me estão a dar que pensar. Muito bem conseguido.

Lovely detail in the the stepping stones. The way they float in the morning mist off the dark lake is magic. Excellent framing with your low amgle and the diagonal leading your eye to the light. Interesting note as well; perhaps someday you will capture a skipping child on these stones : )

Hi Teresa, You have captured a slightly magical/mysterious quality here. Simple stepping stones and water but it is well porttrayed. The slight mistiness over the water and tight cropping helps a lot. Well done. Murray.
