[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This is back in the Manitoba prairies, the bread-basket of the world. Wheat and other grains grown in vast quantities. Here's a colourful barn that seems to be passively awaiting yet another soaking by a rainstorm. Water from the heavens is always welcome here to make the crops grow.

Dear John,
What a shot !!
The light and the dark sky are wonderful.
The POV and the framing are also excellent!
Thanks a lot for the sharing!

Bonjour,
Charmante composition bien équilibrée. Le fond nuageux met particulièrement bien en évidence le premier plan.

What is most beautiful in this shot are teh colours...the contrast of the red barn & the green grass with the dark sky has great visual appeal. Well seen & captured

The colours and clarity of this photo are both excellent, John. I like the strong contrast between the bright green field and the dark rain clouds. Well seen.

Hang on...I like this shot as well...not just for its subject matter, which is interesting in its own right, but for the contrasts again in textures and colours and some terrific shadows.

Hi John - a nicely cropped to square format image - I think I would be inclined to present it just a little darker but all the evidence is there of a wonderfully symplistic but extraordinarily satisfying scene beautifully painted by the light.

best wishes Kev

John,

Great photo. Old barns are so fascinating, although this one looks like it might still be in use?

Killarney, eh? That's one corner of Manitoba I haven't made a trip to for many years. Whereabouts is this barn?

Love the sky, the square photo, the green grass, and the windmill. Combined they make a super photo.

Great shot!

Beautiful colours here. There's nothing like the contrast between green grass and a red barn. Love the bright light, almost like a spotlight on your subject beneath the stormy sky. Well done!

I love this! The POV of the barn is perfect and I love how the sun is touching it. Great ominous sky too..TFS

Thanks for your comments on my photo "little church in the woods" :o)

Your barns are amazing. Bold statements getting ready for winter. Lovely shape contracts.
