Photographer’s Note

I´m not really superstitious but i just gave this title cause i only realized the house number when i saw the picture, so...the thing that atracted me to make this image was the pattern made by the red door togetther with those surronding elements, not the 13 thing ;)

This door is from a house in Sao Pedro Moel, a very nice beach village near Leiria. This little village has wonderful natural places but also the lovely arquitecture, with nice colorful houses is a feature around here.

Nice picture. Good contrast between the wall and the door. The small round window makes the difference against the sqare door. You can also come to take a picture of my door. My house has also the number 13. And I have no problem till now.

This is nice Marco. It stole the attention completly. I really like the contrasting colours and the pattern here. Nr 13...that's my lucky number so it just couldn't be bettre :)

This is very interesting - I guess scary for those people that are superstitious... The architecture is facsinating, and the lines in your shot are perfectly straight. Very well taken. I wonder what those round things are next to the door? Must be adornments, as it looks to rough and dark to serve as small windows. Thanks for sharing!

Very catchy thumbnail, Marco, I just had to click it ;-) Nice symmetrical composition, the only thing slightly off-centered is actually the #13 ... The colors and shapes are fascinating, and you captured them in excellent detail and contrast. Beautiful shot.

Even though at first this shot may seem very simple after a while I found myself noticing lots of details. I enjoy the weird spill on the door and the texture in the round shapes. Well done.

Conheço muito bem esta porta, moro a poucos metros daqui. A foto está simplesmente espetacular, olho sempre para esta porta quando aqui passo. Conseguiste fazer uma composição perfeita e resultou com um contraste muito bonito. Parabéns.

The door and the windows looks great,but for some reason, the white is a little washed out, adn there is noise. Over exposing by a stop-2 stops usually makes the white look much better.
