Photographer’s Note
The low afternoon sun gave me a chance to get a few good pictures of our traditional red paint that I have described here: old picture,
This wall is also unique, it is on a building that dates back to the 15´th century and probably is our oldest preserved wooden house. It is a manor situated on a lovely little peninsula in the lake where I have taken many of my ice pictures. It is a museum since 1758 making it one of the oldest museums in Sweden. The reason for making it into a museum is that it is closely bound to are national legends. In 1520 our then future king Gustav Eriksson Wasa is said to have stayed here for a few days as a refugee from the Danish army who was occupying Sweden. Later he tried to reach Norway but some guys from Mora managed to catch up with him after a long pursuit on skies and told him that they would support him. Today the historians say that the story of Gustav Wasa´s travels in Dalarna is a myth that was used to build the national pride of the Swedes, and it still is, they still teach it in the schools.
That ski run was the first "Wasaloppet" a 90 km endurance test on cross country skies that is a major event every year with more than ten thousand skiers. It is both a fine price for the elit guy who wins and a challenge to many men and women who just ski for exercise.

J'apprécie cette couleur monochrome qui m'éblouit avec ces ondes répétitives.
Parfaite composition qui plaira aussi sûrement à Avigur.
I appreciate this monochromic color which dazzles me with these repetitive waves. Perfect composition which will also surely like Avigur.

This is a very fine study of a shingle clad facade, even an old one with history. The shingles in the background is a little different, a nice detail.

So Ebbe...who won this year? ;)
---------------------------------
The red is incredible warm, and you got some real nice shadows playing there too. The composition is great leaving the dark part very small, and it really brings a tention to the image! Well done!

Showing so little, but telling so much. The light of the low sun makes it almost alive, gives a warm red, emphasizing the pattern (the small shadows).
Good, informativ note.
Very well seen and done, Ebbe.

Historien - den sitter i väggarna! [The history - it's infused in the walls!]
Delightful colors of totally red, Ebbe. I like that you've lifted the shape of the tiles, the covered nails and the texture so clearly. Excellent frame and very good note - made me almost feel proud.
Very well done!

Beautiful work, very nice colors, Ebbe, and quite different from the red in the other photo. I like the pattern and I like very much the way you kept some of the darker wall. I also like the fact that the "tiles" are not prfect, I like the damaged areas texture. Technically it is a great job, excellent brightness and contrast, sharp exactly as it should be. Ver very well done.

Excellent colours, i like the cobwebs and the way you've composed this, with just a little of the edge in the frame. Well done.
