Patrouille de France Photo

Photographer’s Note

This picture was taken in front of the Aeronautics Museum of Le Bourget beside Paris.
These aircraft (Fouga Magister CM 170) were the previous airplane of the "Patrouille de France". They fly now with "Alphajet".

The last Fouga Magister presentation took place in Salon-de-Provence on September the 16th, 1980. Nowadays…The era of the Alphajet, takeoff towards the world.

In 1981, the Patrouille de France used to fly with 7 Alphajet. Nowadays, with 8 Alphajet, the popular success of the Patrouille de France is huge in France and abroad. The historic flypast in 1986 above New-York city, and the trips “Asia 2000 and 2004”, promote the excellence of the French Wings around the world. In 2004, the Patrouille de France fly for several millions of spectators during more than forty five official air shows in France but also in China, India, Malaysia, and Abu Dhabi.

Very nice composition of the planes between themselves and also with respect to the sunburst, which has not drowned out the picture. Well done.

C'est vraimeent magnifique. Au début j'ai vraiment cru que les avions volaient. Evidemment, comme ceci c'est plus facile à cadrer, mais c'est en tous cas très réussi. Cadrage tip top.

Jolie photo, que j'ai cru vrai dans la miniature. C'est dommage car ça aurait été splendide d'avoir ces deux avions en vol réellement. Mais bon C'est déjà bien ainsi.

Bonjour,
C'est vrai que, quand on n'y prete pas attention.
La compo semble des plus "réelles".
On a vraiment l'impression que les deux Fouga grimpent vers le soleil!

I love planes, don't know why but they are simply amazing.
I'm actually having a hard time telling, but are these planes the real thing or just models?
Lovely sharp detail and brilliand colours.
Framing looks nice as well.

Jolie composition de ces 2 fougas.
C'est clair que lorsque que l'on arrives devant le musée du Bourget ces avions sautent aux yeux.
Belle saturation des couleurs.

PS: J'accroches pas du tout sur le Workshop..

je connais aussi cet endroit, je l'ai photographié également...je les ai vu ce week-end en vrai dans leur démonstration...ils sont supers ces heros...la couleur est bien rendue et le cadrage bien vu...amicalement Bi

Hi Serge,

great picture. On the thumbnail the "poles" are not that visible so the planes seem to be airborne. One could easily imagine the planes flying (a little PS trick ? ).
Another Fouga Magister is in Salon de Provence on a roundabout.

I like your French frame too ;-)
