Photographer’s Note
Un des milliers de rochers de la baie d'Halong, peu avant l'île de Cat Ba. Un bateau de touristes y a improvisé une escale. Derrière ce rocher, commence la mer de Chine...

Hi Fred,
I came across this shot wile viewing "Random Orphaned Photos" and thought I would give you my thoughts on it. At 416 views it obviously caught people's attention, but the lack of points actually surprises me. The potential is here, the shot just need a bit of help.
The first thing that needs some adjustment is the light. It's flat, and that a issue with the tropics in the middle of the day.
Next is the colors. They are washed out because of the intense light. And a poloraizer, or grad ND filter would help the water and the sky.
The horizon is close to the middle of the photo, and that's usually not a good thing, but in this case, it may be OK.
I've posted a workshop of the photo for you to look at, if your interested. I would like to see the results of what I've done repeated on the original.
