Photographer’s Note

Two local children having a rest on their way up to the "Gaustatoppen" mountain. Trekking and mountain climbing is a very common activity in Norway, and they obviously start very young. Those two children were climbing alone without their parents.
It's funny because not only do children fly pass you while you are pushing your exhausted body up the hill, but also 60+ norwegian men and women with long legs and walking sticks. ;)

Some info on Gaustatoppen I shamelessly stole from Wikipedia:
Gaustatoppen (1883 metres) is the highest mountain in the county Telemark in Norway. The view is impressive, one can se an area of approximately 60 000 km² from the summit. There is an elevator system inside the mountain, built for military porposes, that lately has become accessible to the public. This brings you from the base of the mountain almost to the summit.

This is such a wonderful photograph. I like the PoV and the photographer's script. So lucky these kids are. I can sense their freedom in your composition.

Good photo, and good note. It is true - I was amazed how old norwegian women were walking in the mountains. I would never dare to challenge one of them in hiking.
This photo has good composition. The girls are maybe not in a perfect spot (1/3 of the photo length and so on) but thus - we have a broader and nicer view which is really very good here.
I like it very much.

Nice photo Eric,

I really like your POV from behind these children, who are, probably, enjoying the view you get from up here. Well chosen.
The view is impressive, allthough there are mostly hills and vegetation. Good to have captured the children fully, including the larger rocks they are sitting on. Nice details. Okay colours and sharpness, both could be a bit better, more saturation, bit more sharpness, maybe slightly narrower diafragm would work out.
