Photographer’s Note
This is yet another door at the City Palace Jaipur with its amazing decorations.
In India, the Green color is associated with growth, auspiciousness and prosperity. The green and the tones of green you see here are all natural colors made from vegetable dyes. Its really amazing to know the fact that the colors have not faded nor they were retouched since the 17th century. The brass doors and frames make this more ornamental.
I wanted to show the artistry involved in these arches and chose this POV. I also added three frames with colors chosen from the arches and the walls.
Thanks for visiting.

Very nice composition and colours. You could have shown a bit more of the door, which look very beautiful. To be honest, I do not like the frame. It looks like a continuation of the walls.

Hello Vikram,
Nice post from Jaipur, the colourful city in our country.
Just a comment, you could use a simple frame, not the trio-coloured one.

Un étonnant jeu de lignes et de couleurs.Une image assez fascinante!
Tu aurais peut être dû redressser un peu la partie gauche de la photo avec PS?

I like this fine light dominating colotone setting a lit here with a perfect matching border, all well exposed and very detailled. A marvellous photo of this entrance.

Hi Vikram,
Excellent composition. The colours are so soothing to the eyes. Excellent patterns. I am not a big fan of multi-coloured frames but this one goes perfectly with the image.

Hi Vikram,
Fantastic shot; you have captured the artwork very nicely. The colors are beautiful, I think nobody can imagine such a wonderful artwork is belongs to 17th century because the color & art looks very new even if it's more then 250-300 years old. Well done & thanks for sharing.

Hi Vikram,
First of all-Happy Raksha Bandhan.
A perfectly managed shot with control over light and shades. I tried a few such shots at Bikaner, but of no use.
A single shot of you has aroused in me a big desie to visit Jaipur, from where Vivek(ID DragonHeart) has brought some oustanding beauties.
The colours attract at the very first instance. No doubt its your POV, which has resulted in great effects.
I can count
green,
sap green,
lemon green and a lot more.
credit goes to the artists of the 17th century and to you too Vikram.
Keep posting such great shots.
They mean a lot.
Well done,
Rajeev

Bonjour Vikram,
Superbe photo de détails architecturaux. J'aime la façon dont vous avez su mettre en valeur toutes les subtilités des couleurs et de nous avoir expliqué les relations des couleurs avec les coutumes en Inde.
Magnifique photographie.
Amitiés.

Hi Vikram,
What strikes me here is the dominant of this rare color, I do not see places with this color everyday, the close framing works well to concentrate on these nice shapes, normally I would not like such a frame but here it does not work that bad I must tell, nice photo.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Vikram
I like this type of green very much which is why I'm attracted to this photo. The façade is beautifully decorated and the touch of gold a bonus. I would have preferred a more contrasting frame.

Hi, Vikram! I hope someday I can visit Jaipur! Your pics show how beautiful is this city! This door looks great in yellow and green (Brazilian national colours!)! Nicely composed work, rich in details! TFS! Greetings from Rio! Miguel.

I like this shot, for the way the door is partly concealed, and the subtle shades of green. Good note also.

this is one beautiful informative picture with an equally informative not. the pov is excellent why because most parts of the architectural elements and expressions are made visible by choosing this view point. the depth of field was also set nicely that the the near and the farther elements are more or less clear to the same extent...good job...

Hi Vikram, a long since i went last on your gallery,n a pleasure to be back, i pick this one which is really good, perhaps a big dark frame would have been better but the inside, the picture itself is excellent, very eyes catching, love those kind of repetition of motifs, you did it well there (i would have applyed a little bit more contrasts perhaps)

Hello Vikram,
It's quite an unusual pov you've choosen. And in this case it's a good thing to read well tyhe note. I really like these tones. It's interresting to see how you've set focus on arches and not the golden door.
Best regards

i like the colors...yellow and green!
i would have included a larger image of the golden door. the frame is a redundance of the colors...should have chosen black and white instead... nevertheless, this is an appealing upload!
