Photographer’s Note

Photoshooters leave the bed early. It was early dawn at Gangtok.

The bohemian clouds settled throughuot the night down in the vally and became compact by the freezing cold. early sunrays are yet to disturb them.

My lens perceived them as a river of flowing mysticism through the vally and I pressed the Shutter.

Beautiful shot of the town in the mountains!A good view. Probably could be improved by removing the noise in the picture and the unwanted thing is the lower half of the photo. TFS :)

I can feel here the cool and somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere (coming from a country where we don't like rain), and you have a real talent for capturing nice sceneries... TFS, this shot reminds me happy days spent in the mountains,

Hi Dr J. You are right about photoshooters needing to leave their beds early - advice that I have to confess I don't always heed, but your image shows the benefit of catching the pre-dawn light which gives this an almost mystical feel. However, I think your image is spoilt by two things: 1. the tilt to the right, and 2. all the roof clutter in the foreground. Was it not possible to get down on the roof below you to shoot from that corner by the yellow flag? That looks to be have been a superb POV overlooking the valley. Cheers . . . David
