For teutza
A cold spring day on hills near Curtea de Arges town, where I spent a some days last winter. We (me and my family) were just walking and I found interesting these trees contrasting on the sky…a beautiful blue sky (you can see in WS)
Added a b&w to make it look veeery cold.

Beautiful winter landscape Isabela, perfectly composed showing the trees and the frozen stream. I love seeing these pics whatever the time of year...especially now, when we need cooling down! Works very well in black and white. Makes it look even colder, I think! Well done. Best wishes, Vicky

thanks for this. With this heat, we all need to cool down a bit. And this does the trick.

Very nice looking b/w winter scape. The tonality is so good, the whites of the snow especially stay on the right side of the exposure line, not goinf into overexposure anywhere. The b/s perfectly fits the mood set by these naked trees.

This is so beautiful, the silouettes of the bare branches against the grey sky look fantastic, and i like this small creek curving through the snow. Excellent composition and tonality!

Bonjour Isabela,
J'ai regardé avec beaucoup d'intérêt les deux photos (noir et blanc et celle qui est en couleur).
Les deux photos sont très belles, je pense avoir une préférence pour celle en couleur dont les couleurs ajoutent une subtilité délicate à la composition avec ce merveilleux ciel et ces nuages d'une grande douceur.
Quoi qu'il en soit, c'est une excellente photographie.

Hi Isabela, it takes a great deal of foresight to make a landscape photograph work really well in B&W but you have succeeded here perfectly. Composition, exposure and tonal range are all first class. The whites are particularly pleasing - bright and clean. Stephen

Hi Isabela,
A superb landscape shot, and I must say that I like the colour version equally. Here though the B&W format works well, with the trees nicely spaced and having so much character. There is also good depth in the photo, and one wants to walk along with the stream forever into the hills. Very fine work, Isabela.

This is really nice Isabela.
The B&W emphasis this landscape.
I think that the river is really well located within your composition, it gives a path to the reader of the photographer, a natural diagonal.

Interesanta alegere de alb/ negru, ce amplifica din contrast.

This is one of those amazing B&W landscapes that acquire a timeless quality. The blue sky in the WS definitely looks good but given a choice I would definitely go for the B&W.

Like the black and white treatment of this scene. It really does make the place look colder. The scene looks almost unreal and the barran nature of the landscape gives it strong impact. A very nicely composed work. Well done.

Dear Isabela,

This is a superb shot!

I was browsing your gallery looking for something that would impress me enough to add it to my favorites. I just wanted to have one of your shots in that collection. I started with the latest posting and was going toward older postings. It looks like I had to go quite a bit to find something good enough :-) but I was stunned by this one. I see it as something surprising from you. It may not be but my experience with your photos is limited to the last couple of months since I became active on TE and based on that set, this did seem to me to be one of your shots. It’s an unbelievable winter landscape. I checked out the color version too and I like that one equally. You had a great eye and the composition came out very good. I don’t feel comfortable commenting on it. I just feel like watching it.
