Noon in Wyoming Photo

Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken at noon (not usually the best time of day for landscape photography). I stood right against the rail at the look out along the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway, same as any other tourist and snapped this shot, and yet, I really like this photo. I guess it's because of those nice clouds. If you visit Yellowstone a lot, the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway makes for an interesting day trip away from all the park visitors. Not as much wildlife, but a beautiful drive nonetheless.

Dear Ryan ... what a photo, what a landscape, and right the clouds are so pretty that you had to take this photo. I like the winding road which you can see, slowly moving up. Very nice.

I have driven this scenic byway outside of Yellowstone, and it is really one of the prettiest drives you can take. Your photo is really quite wonderful, and really captures the beauty of this great land and area. Wyoming's a great place.

This view is absolutly beautiful. Nice colors and it looks like you were lucky enough to take the photo in a day with perfect clowds.
I like the way the shadow of the trees reflecs on the hills.

It's not only the clouds, but also the lines in the landscape and the reflecting clouds. They are falling as nice shadow patterns on the land.
I like these kind of images, although not much is going on, the overal scenery is wonderful.

Here is a great proof that it's not only in the magical hours of sunrise and sunset that we can take fabulous pictures. I love the shadows the clouds are casting on the ground, a thing only possible at this time of day. The warm earth colors are amazing and the deep blue polarized sky really makes this scene. Love the breathable space we can feel across the entire frame. Very good Ryan!

a great shot,very wonderful colours,and a good detph.I like the mix of green and yellow.When I look yor picture, I would like to be there.The sky is wonderful too.
