Photographer’s Note

Today another image from Seixal Bay at the early morning (about 7:30 a.m.) that’s why there is a slightly mist on the horizon.
The old building and the pier you see on the background are part of a codfish draw manufacture.
This manufacture stars working in the beginning of the XX century and many tons of codfish was draw fro almost 8 decades.
But nowadays this manufactured doesn’t work anymore and the buildings are in ruins.
The municipality of Seixal plans to transform this place into a Tourist complex with a 5 stars hotel and some other infrastructures.

Beautiful image. I like the composition and warm colours. Very good that you had your personnal pocket-boat to put it there ;). Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) the background is a little foggy due to a hot weather I guess, so the sky isn`t perfect for a view I wanted from you ;).

Superb plan on this small boat. I like the contrast between the old hangar and the modernity of the city in the background. A small piece of paradise lost in the large city. I hope that this splendid place will be preserved.

Good composition with the lonely boat.I like the foggy background and the fact that the colors are getting brighter from back-to foreground.A verry nice image.

Ainda bem que fotografaste o sítio antes ;-)

Ola Teresa,

A luz e especial com esta nevoa no fundo e o sul que aquece as cores do barco e da agua um tom prateado muito bonito. Tem uma certa monocromia no ambiente que e apenas quebrada pelo barco e sua sombra e o predio abamdonado ao fundo, isto faz com que os dois sujeitos entrem no nosso foco de forma natural. A composicao e perfeita.

I just like the boat, means of transport but stioned right in the middle of water by you. The misty atmosphere in the background; as if the town is industrial.

Hi Theresa,
The tidy fishing boat moored against the abandonned cod drying facility speaks volumes to me about the disappearance of the cod fishery. I like the way the light lights the boat and it's reflection against the soft mist.

Foto diferente Teresa, acho que a primeira em que vejo prédios. Eu imagina que Seixal foi uma cidade "interiorana" contituida só por casas, não imagina ver prédios!

O céu meio acinzentado aumentou essa idéia de ambiente urbano, até o barco, estilo lancha!

Bela composição.

Una imagen muy bella y apacible, que inspira calma. La luz y los colores a esta hora de la mañana son muy suaves, el agua está muy quieta y tranquila, y el ambiente tiene un poco de neblina. El colorido de la barca, y sus reflejos, son muy bonitos.

Interesting reflections and good perspective with placing the boat down in the composition. I'm curious about this dusty air, is there some pollutions from factories or weather conditions at that time?

Very nice and placid. The calmness is pleasant to see and reassuring. The composition is well thought out too, as you have placed the boat a good distance from the pier. The gap between the two, makes the picture visually pleasing. A wonderful, warm shot.
