Photographer’s Note

I parked my car at work this morning and saw some tremendous amount of clouds in the sky. I saw this windmill and thought I would make a nice composition with it and the clouds together. This windmill is setup on the University grounds and the electricity it produces is used to power the lights in the various parking lots nearby. Any extra electricity that it generates and not used is transfered onto the main electric grids. The electric company buys the extra electricity. Pretty crazy to think of it as the consumers generally buy electricity from the power companies and not the other way around.

I cropped this picture a little and filtered it into sepia.

beatiful pattern of clouds. The texture, contrast in the sky and tone make for a very nice composition.

nice clouds and good profiles of trees and the windmill but the sepia doesn't appeal to me in this particular image. i do like the composition though.

Nice shot well detailed yes it is better to have one or two subjects in frame while capturing sunset or sunrise more the subjects will be near the fore ground more will be the 3D effect.

Hi Harjit, good composition and useful notes. In sepia tone, it brings out the grey in the clouds.
