This photo from Mercato di Ballarò in Palermo shows that pictures could be very good when something unexpected happens. When I was taking a photo the guy to the right approached with fast speed. From the beginning I thought that I had to take another, but then I saw that the result was more than OK.

Hi Ulf,
indeed a good shot from the italian market. The big fish is impressing. You're right, it's nice how the guy dominates the scenery. Funny, the way he wears his sunglasses.

I think you're right here. The expression on the guy's face show great purpose and determination. He probably wasn't even aware of you taking the picture. Nevertheless, the shot reveals a lot of details and aspects of everyday life. The technical quality is great and the composition works too. The guy's presence gives a strong impact to the scene.

Ulf, you are right! LOL. I agree with Rosaline about "great purpose and determination" :). What a fish!!! I still cannot get to all your Italian photos, but I am "determined" (lol) and am getting to it little by little! :) Thank you very much for the comments to my Palermo photos!!! Irina

Excellent composition. I like those curtains that give the light a red shade, the big fish, those bulbs and, the last but not the least, the guy from the FG. Very picturesque figure. If he had lived in another century, he could have been some sort of a condottiere.
