Znojmo - Old Town Alley Photo

Sorry for not giving you any background of this shot when uploading it. This is an alley in the oldest part of my hometown - Znojmo. Znojmo is old royal town (1226) located in South Moravia, Czech Republic, Europe - about 10 km from Austrian border (http://www.znojemsko.info/).
Vertical orientation is a very good idea (thanks bgladman). Anyway - I don't consider this shot to be technically perfect. It is just a moment of my walk thru the city and most of all - a loving memory of my hometown where I spend less & less time. I think Pam did a very good workhop!

Nice photo Jan. You have exposed this well, and the composition is good although i feel that a vertical orientation would be more suitable for this scene.
Also a brief note giving some background or explanation of the shot is always appreciated.

Your picture very nicely conveys the atmosphere of the place with cobbled streets, narrow alleys and old delapidated houses. I would probably crop the foreground to focus more strongly on the lighted part of the shot. Still, I think it's a very nice photo for a debut on TE!

Actually, Znojmo is probably my favourite town in the Czech Republic (and I love Moravian wine!) so I'm looking forward to more of your pictures!

Very good capture of this alley. There are many different textures that make the photo interesting. And I really like how the road leads your eye to the other lamp post. I've done a workshop. Have a look...
